The current economic situation has left thousands of people across the region in need.

Rising food and utility costs means many people are struggling on a daily basis. The government and nonprofit agencies that provide that social safety net are having a hard time meeting the increased demand.

To meet this need, United Way of Central Maryland is launching an Emergency Response Fund.

Our goal is to quickly raise at least $1 million, specifically to help front-line nonprofit agencies providing food, shelter and utility assistance to people in crisis across central Maryland.
