United Way’s Emerging Leaders United (ELU) group is all about building connections and having fun – with a purpose. Forget going to another ho-hum networking night or boring conference. With ELU, you’ll have unique opportunities to give back to the local community at events while meeting other passionate young professionals.

We’re all about making positive and long-lasting change in central Maryland. Through professional development, educational opportunities, volunteerism and networking events, This emerging leaders program has the end goal to change the odds for families and communities by advancing education, housing, employment and health.

ANNUAL EMERGING LEADERS UNITED CONFERENCE: A DAY DEVOTED TO SOCIAL AND PERSONAL CHANGE

In May, more than 400 young game changers gathered for United Way of Central Maryland’s Emerging Leaders United (ELU) Young Professionals Conference. The sixth annual, day-long conference was a sell-out, and featured a series of panels, workshops and presentations based on advancing personal, professional and social change.
