While many others would immediately think of the stereotypical errand runner, I think of my time as an intern at United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM) and the amazing experience I have gained. Call it luck; call it skill. Either way you look at it, an internship with UWCM is like no other.
As National Volunteer Week comes to a close, we would like to highlight one of our outstanding Employee Campaign Coordinators. In the spirit of making our community a better place, Reshawn Lowe took on the challenge of starting an employee giving campaign at the Coca-Cola Refreshments plant. The time and effort he dedicated to making the campaign a success paid off, and his colleagues "shattered their goal." Read on to hear what Reshawn had to say about volunteerism and his work with United Way, and join us in thanking all of our volunteers this week and every day.
