TO A FAMILY IN NEED
Imagine Thanksgiving without the one thing that is certain to bring family together – an abundance of food.
Many low-income families do not have access to the foods that make Thanksgiving, well, Thanksgiving. United Way of Central Maryland’s 22nd Annual Harvest of Plenty program provides families in need with complete holiday meals.
United Way of Central Maryland’s work focuses on the building blocks of a self-sufficient life: education, financial stability and health. We all win when students succeed in school, families are financially stable and people are healthy.

At a time when housing is unaffordable for many and the number of homeless students in our state is rapidly growing, UWCM is introducing a new program aimed at preventing and ending family homelessness. Through a multi-pronged approach that includes intensive case management, master leasing and financial security, our Family Stability initiative will build stronger families, neighborhoods and communities.Learn more about the Family Stability Initiative
