Welcome to United Way of Central Maryland's advocacy section. We understand it's as important to raise your voice as it is to lend your muscle or open your wallet. United Way looks forward to providing people with the tools, resources and opportunities they need to advocate for the people, places, and issues that can make the region stronger. Stay tuned for more ways to get involved, make a statement and spread the word.

Just a few ways you can take a stand are:

1. Call or write a letter to your legislators.

2. Send a letter to the editor of a local newspaper.

3. Attend a rally in Annapolis or Washington D.C.

4. Spread the word - encourage friends and family to learn more.

5. Vote.
