Harvest of Plenty 2013 – Giving Thanksgiving
Imagine Thanksgiving without the one thing that is certain to bring family together – the food.
Thanksgiving is an iconic American holiday which means different things to each of us. However hokey, quirky or crazy, Thanksgiving meals are family memories, and for people with otherwise little food, such gatherings can be especially meaningful.
That’s why United Way of Central Maryland is supplying families in need in our community with special Thanksgiving dinners through our 21st Annual Harvest of Plenty.
Last year we provided delicious, all-the-fixings dinners for 3,000 low-income families in central Maryland. We need your help to do it again this year.
Whether you’re thanking God for your family or Aunt Jo for the pecan pie, there’s nothing more fulfilling than to share your blessings with others.
Donating just $15 will help feed a family of a six a full meal with all the healthy trimmings.
