Agency Funding
Request for Proposal (RFP)Non-profit organizations must be able to demonstrate that their programs/services align with one or more of United Way of Central Maryland’s Community Impact areas. The four impact areas identified through the Community Agenda-Setting and implemented by United Way of Central Maryland are: Basic Need, Family Safety, School Readiness and Youth Achieving Potential. The RFP process will be on a multi-year funding cycle based on the funding availability generated through United Way of Central Maryland’s campaign and other fundraising initiatives. United Way of Central Maryland’s approach to grant making, through the RFP process, focuses on making multi-year commitments with organizations that enable us to invest in strategies and partnerships that result in long-term community impact. United Way of Central Maryland utilizes Impact Council members, who are impact issue area experts, to support our staff in the selection and monitoring of our partner agencies.
Tentative Dates for RFP FY2010 Regional Discretionary Request for ApplicationThe RFA process is opened annually based on the funding availability generated through United Way of Central Maryland’s campaign and other fundraising initiatives. Community and faith-based organizations, with a registered nonprofit Non-profit organizations must be able to demonstrate that their programs/services align with one or more of United Way of Central Maryland’s Community Impact areas of Basic Need, Family Safety, School Readiness and Youth Achieving Potential United Way of Central Maryland does not seek, nor fund, unsolicited grant applications. All grant making activities are restricted to the RFP or RFA processes. In any given year, we have limited resources to fund additional, unsolicited proposals. |
