Agency Funding
United Way of Central Maryland’s funding process is limited to non-profit organizations providing services in central Maryland. There are several ways in which non-profit organizations, with a 501 (C) 3 designation, can receive financial support through United Way of Central Maryland. Organizations can seek financial assistance through United Way of Central Maryland’s workplace campaign programs, Request for Proposal (RFP) and Regional Discretionary Request for Application (RFA) processes.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
In January, United Way of Central Maryland’s Board of Directors began a strategic planning process to determine the direction of United Way over the next few years. The plan was spurred by the continuing effects of the recession and the ongoing issue of increasing need versus available resources throughout the community. The Board of Directors' goal was, and is, to determine how United Way can best meet the needs of the community. Because of this planning process, United Way’s 40 current impact grant recipients had their funding extended until December 30, 2010.
United Way of Central Maryland will resume its application grant process in September 2010. At that time, more information about the organization's funding priorities and various funds available will be provided.
