Campaign Outsourcing

2009 UWCM Outsourcing Campaign Management

We recognize that every dollar and every minute of your day is valuable. We appreciate your company’s support of United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM) and want to make the pledging process more efficient.

By outsourcing your campaign to UWCM, we will be able to send communications out to your employees directly from our office, saving you time and money.

What we need from you:

• Employee list (Excel form: employee number, last name, first name, work e-mail)
• Number of pay periods
• Company logo (.jpg)
• CEO or United Way Coordinator letter  (a sample is available)

The process:

1. After we receive the above information, we will create an eWay pledging site personalized for your company.  (see Figure A). This process requires 20 business days.
2. The e-mails can be edited to include any information you’d like to be included.
3. A demo site will be available for approval 1 week prior to kick off.
4. Hang posters and begin to circulate a buzz about the upcoming campaign 1 week prior to kickoff.
5. E-mails will be sent to employees following the two week campaign calendar (see Figure B). E-mails can be sent from any e-mail address (CEO, ECC, UWCM). Campaigns can be extended and additional e-mails can be created if necessary.
6. Checks are to be sent to the UWCM Relationship Manager.
7. A detailed donor report will be e-mailed to the company coordinator and/or Human resources/payroll.
