 Giving Societies

United Way of Central Maryland counts on leaders like you to ensure our work continues.

Our giving societies are an opportunity to recognize those of you who are willing to lead by example; and, a way for you to make a bigger difference in your community.

If you haven’t already, please consider one of these options:

  Leadership Society
Join the network of nearly 6,000 generous donors who contribute $1,000 or more each year. This group does more than give. They get involved, guiding the organization and even volunteering their time.

  Women's Leadership Council
This two-tiered philanthropic network of concerned and caring women is focused on advocacy, mentoring, networking, philanthrophy and volunteering. Members of United Way’s Women’s Initiative Next Generations (WINGS) donate $1,000-$9,999 annually. Membership in the WLC Tocqueville Society is reserved for women who give $10,000 or more annually. Both groups primarily focus on issues affecting women and children.

  Tocqueville Society
For more than 30 years, the Tocqueville Society has set the standard for charitable giving. Members contribute $10,000 or more annually and help motivate others to give generously as well. These donors are part of a national group of major gift leaders who provide philanthropic leadership across the country.

  Legacy Circle
Establishing a perpetual gift that will support your community for years to come is another option United Way offers. By joining the Legacy Circle, you have an opportunity to establish a gift that will impact central Maryland now and in the future.

Benefits of Belonging
United Way of Central Maryland brings together community leaders through a range of philanthropic, volunteer and networking activities. While giving alone is its own reward, a gift of $1,000 or more each year brings along with it some additional opportunities. We’re proud to offer these benefits to our leadership givers.
