To volunteer and to mentor are among the most significant ways you can make a difference. By being part of the community – the community you’re trying to change – you are making an impact. By mentoring the people who will lead after you, who lead with you or have yet to figure out how they can lead, you are making an impact.

Sharing your time and experience is every bit as valuable as sharing a financial contribution. The Women’s Leadership Council recognizes and understands that – which is why there are several ways to get involved across the region.

United Way makes connecting with your community fast and easy. From individual activities to long-term projects, United Way can help link you to the people and organizations that need you.

Tools:

  • Families Living United - Today, families are finding new ways to spend time together—and volunteering is one way to do just that. There are many benefits for families that volunteer. Learn more.
  • FamilyStories logo - FamilyStories provides families practical tools to strengthen parent-child relationships and support early learning development. These projects, developed by Susan Magsamen, are designed to empower families to learn, share, create and grow together and we hope that our donors can see the difference not only their money but also their time and talent can make in a child’s life.
