UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MARYLAND HONORS TAYLOR FOSS WITH ANNUAL AWARD FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE Baltimore, MD (July 1, 2009) – United Way of Central Maryland was proud to present Taylor Foss, vice president and chief human resources officer for LifeBridge Health, with the 38th annual Clementine Peterson Award, the highest honor bestowed by United Way of Central Maryland to recognize outstanding leadership and volunteer contributions by a woman to United Way. Foss has been a longtime volunteer of United Way. She is a founding member of United Way’s Women’s Leadership Council, as well as past chair of the group. Foss is also a member of the National Women’s Leadership Council, recently elected to the group’s Executive Committee. She has been an advocate, a volunteer and a philanthropist within the region and within LifeBridge Health, one of United Way’s top campaigns. The Clementine Peterson Award was first endowed in 1971 to recognize outstanding women. It is awarded to a woman who broadens the horizons of community service within the boundaries of United Way of Central Maryland. “We are grateful for leaders like Taylor who give hours of their time to help make this region stronger,” said Larry E. Walton, president of United Way of Central Maryland. “Not only is she a member, but is truly engaged. She speaks not only with words but actions.
