UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MARYLAND HONORS CARROLL COUNTY VOLUNTEER FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE
Audrey Cimino presented with Bernard Cook Meritorious Leadership Award during fiscal year 2008 annual meeting

Baltimore, MD (August 4, 2008) – United Way of Central Maryland honored Audrey Cimino, executive director of the Community Foundation of Carroll County, for her work on the United Way of Central Maryland Community Partnership of Carroll County.

Cimino has been an active participant in United Way’s community impact work as a member of the partnership board. She has served on the board since its inception in 1997.

“We are grateful for leaders like Audrey who give hours of their time to help make this region stronger,” said Larry E. Walton, president of United Way of Central Maryland. “These volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we could not do it without them.”

The award was designed to recognize community volunteers who demonstrate exceptional leadership in activities that clearly align with United Way of Central Maryland’s priorities. The award is named after Bernard Cook, a 15-year volunteer with United Way of Central Maryland.
