Baltimore, MD (January 13, 2009) – United Way of Central Maryland’s Howard County Partnership Board approved $10,000 in emergency discretionary grant funds to help Congregations Concerned for the Homeless (CCH) after their office was destroyed by fire last month.
“By launching CCH’s Rebuilding Fund with its generous contribution, United Way of Central Maryland is once again proving its leadership in and commitment to our community. The funds will be used to help start a fund to rebuild their offices , and to help the nonprofit replenish gift cards for clients which were lost in the fire. CCH works with roughly 20 homeless families in Howard County.
