United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM) recognizes the importance of protecting information we may collect from visitors to our website, www.uwcm.org (the “ Site”). UWCM only shares your personal information internally within UWCM and with other United Way-affiliated organizations, including United Way of America. For example, your personal information is shared with our Finance department for the purpose of processing pledges, our Marketing department for communications and our Resource Development department for customer management.

All information collected by UWCM, such as name, address and credit card (if making an online donation), is stored subject to policies, procedures and measures designed to ensure the security of the information. More particularly, in order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
