Help us provide safe transportation to school

United Way bus

Help us purchase a bus for the Benjamin Franklin High School community.

At Benjamin Franklin High School, the Neighborhood Zone and its Family Center provide childcare for student parents. The Center’s bus offers safe transportation to school each day, a place for our student parents and their children to learn. The bus is an integral part of this program, but the Center is without it right now. We need your help to purchase a new bus.

The Family Center provides safe, free transportation for 18 families throughout Baltimore City. Before having a bus service, some students traveled more than two hours on the MTA with their child and everything needed for the school day. The bus also serves as a lifeline in the community, providing critical resources to neighbors.

Can you help us raise funds to purchase a new bus? We have a big goal – $35,000 and every parent and child at the Family Center is counting on us to reach it. Can we count on you?
