A Message From Our Chair

 

I am incredibly humbled and honored to serve as chair of Emerging Leaders United (ELU). ELU is comprised of such amazingly talented young professionals, including you, who are committed to substantially impacting our community.  

In my ten years of experience volunteering with United Way, I have been blown away by the impact volunteerism has on the community, and on the people who serve. As the father of a young child and resident of Baltimore City, I cannot think of a better platform to connect me to resources which I can use to make my home city a better place for my friend, family, and neighbors.

Joining me in this leadership journey Ashley Johnson, incoming Vice Chair of ELU. Together, we will join forces to lead ELU, while continuing to make ELU a staple in our community. Every time Ashely talks about her experiences, engagement in the community, or connects with others she inspires me. She is one of the most motivating leaders I’ve ever met, and can’t wait to see what she achieves as Vice Chair!

We are excited to grow our membership this year, increase our impact of raising funds for programs like Young Men United, and volunteer to support families in our communities throughout the region at Caw to Action, Holiday Pop Ups, and more.

Our executive council will also provide leadership and guidance as we advance our goals. This team includes:
