Johns Hopkins New President, Redonda Miller

Date: July 13, 2016

Congratulations to Redonda Miller, who took office on July 1 as the 11th president of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the first woman to hold the position since the hospital was founded in 1889.

Dr. Miller is steadfast in her commitment to the community and will continue her role as the 2015 and 2016 United Way Campaign Vice Chair for Johns Hopkins Medicine. She has also been a dynamic and incredibly enthusiastic judge for the 2015 and 2016 “Dancing with the Hopkins Stars” events which have raised over $100,000 for United Way of Central Maryland and community support. Dr. Miller also has the distinction of being one of United Way of Central Maryland’s first chairs of Emerging Leaders United, a young professionals group comprised of 1,500 members committed to professional development, volunteering and community engagement.

Johns Hopkins Medicine/Hospital is one of United Way’s most generous and dedicated partners, annually raising more than $1 million.
