As a result of last week’s events in Baltimore, our communities are in need of our help now, more than ever – and the outpouring of concern and commitment to our city has been overwhelming. We are so grateful for the support we have witnessed in such a short period of time.
Several local convenience stores were left in destruction – stores many people depended on for their basic needs including food, baby formula and toiletries. UPS has generously stepped up to deliver needed items to our neighbors in affected areas. We’re asking the community to collect these items that will be dropped off at community centers and faith-based organizations throughout the city. The most needed items include non-perishable foods, baby formula, Ensure, toiletries, laundry soap and cleaning supplies.
Check out the full list and encourage your company to sign up to contribute items by registering here. If you’d like to donate items as an individual, you can drop them off at any SECU branch in Maryland or at the following UPS distribution center locations:
UPS will pick up items at registered companies on Monday, May 18 and Monday, June 15. Many thanks to UPS and their drivers, and to all our generous supporters for helping restore hope in Baltimore. We love our city!
